If you wish to use our services we can assist you in several ways. After an initial meeting which at present can be conducted through virtual means, gathering some of the details of the estate a price can be quoted.  An engagement letter is then sent and once this has been signed we can begin work.

 

Church Street Probate offers different services depending on the clients needs. Whether its checking over the inheritance tax forms to ensure that these have been completed properly for the client to submit to HMRC or dealing with the complete process by gathering the assets, working out the inheritance tax, submission of forms to HRMC and obtaining the grant of probate.

The length of time it takes to complete probate depends on the complexity of the case.  On average it takes 6 months to obtain a grant of probate.

Our process consists of issuing an engagement letter detailing the service required.  Once signed and returned we will start work on the probate case.  The same person will deal with your case from start to finish.  You will have weekly updates on your case by email or telephone. Collating the information required includes going through the will to identify the beneficiaries and listing all the assets.

Once this has been completed the IHT forms are submitted to HMRC where the inheritance tax needs to be settled before they will release a grant of probate, these are taken from assets that can be liquidated.

Most banks will release the deceased funds in order to settle Inheritance Tax.
